Dundee Methodist Church

Services

We welcome all who live, work or study in Dundee, Fife and the surrounding areas, as well as those who are visiting.

Times

  • We meet each Sunday for worship at 11 am
  • On the first Sunday of each month, worship may be preceded at 10.45 am by the singing of hymns chosen by a member of the congregation
  • United evening services are held each month at 6.30 pm

Sunday Morning worship

  • All ages worship together in the church for the first part of the service.
  • The creche, children and young people then leave for their own activities within the church building.
  • All return for the conclusion of worship.
  • Tea, coffee, juice and biscuits are served after the service.

Preachers

Worship is conducted either by one of our ordained ministers or by a lay 'local preacher'. Preaching appointments are arranged according to the Plan drawn up quarterly for the five churches in the Circuit.
Preachers for the next four weeks can be found on the home page of this site.

Sacrament of Holy Communion

This is celebrated once a month in the course of Sunday morning worship.

In two months out of three, the elements are brought to the congregation in their seats.

Every third month, members of the congregation go up to receive the elements; anyone who wishes may still be served in their seat.

The table is open to all who love the Lord.

Evening services

United Sunday evening services are held each month at 6.30 pm. These are held variously at Dundee Methodist, Dundee Congregational Church, Dundee United Reformed Church and Meadowside St Paul’s Church of Scotland.
