“Singing the Faith”
The BBC will be celebrating the forthcoming publication of the new Methodist hymn book with two programmes scheduled to be broadcast, next Sunday 26th June.
There is a 'singing the faith' themed Sunday Worship service
on Radio 4 at 8.10am followed by a special edition of BBC One's
'Songs of Praise' in the afternoon. The programme will reflect
upon what makes a truly inspiring hymn and features interviews
with some of those involved in the production of the new hymn collection.
Safeguarding Training
All who are required to undertake this training should have been contacted by Ian about the session in Dundee at 6 pm next Sunday (or other sessions in the Circuit). If you think you should undertake this training and have not heard from Ian already, please contact him promptly, please!
The Royal Highland Show
The RHS provides a window on rural Scotland. The inter-denominational church stand serves as a gentle reminder that the Christian churches are an integral part of rural life and a regular feature of recent years has been a joint visit by ACTS Church leaders. This year the church stand will have a focus on fair-trade products and the Scottish Pilgrimage Routes. The RHS runs from this Thursday to next Sunday. “Do come and say hello at the stand!”
Worship Group résumé
At the recent meeting it was agreed that
- a Faith Lunch will take place after worship on Sunday August 14th when worship
will be led by the Rev Lily Twist, Chair of the Synod;
- Harvest will be celebrated on Sunday 25th September, using MRDF material;
- planning for the Café Service in July will take place on
Tuesday 12th July (see above) and a date is to be arranged for planning of the October Café Service which will focus on “Mission in Britain” through our work with the Link Club.

Scottish Bible Society Magazine: 'Alive and Active'
As Jean's successor as SBS link person, Jenny receives the supply of the SBS magazines. It would help to know who still wishes to have the magazine or of new people who might wish a regular copy (eg those attending the two Bible Groups).
If you have been receiving a copy (from Jean / Jenny) please take a copy of the Spring 2011 edition from the pile on the Vestibule table and sign the paper.
If you also wish to be given a copy in future, please sign and indicate accordingly.
Jenny will re-assess the list at the end of June and, if necessary, order more. Thanks!
