Support other Organisations

Team Erskine

A request has come from Erskine Hospital, whom we have supported before through our November Communion Offering, for people to join “Team Erskine”, and help raise funds.

They have listed 18 Challenge Events in Scotland between now and October. If you or someone you know wish to take part and run for Erskine, contact the Community Fundraiser, Alan Moss, by e-mail alan.moss@erskine.org.uk.
The next listed event is the “Rock 'n' roll Edinburgh Half Marathon on Sunday 15th April. Although these and many others are Sundays, there are some later ones on Saturdays, eg Aberdeen Big Fun Run on Saturday 22nd September. See copy of the e-mail on the notice-board to learn more.

Scottish Bible Society

Our support through the Bible-a-Month Club is invited in April for work in Romania. Our prayerful attention is drawn this week to

  • the opportunity to host the United Bible Society (UBS) Africa Area Board in Namibia;
  • work continuing on the Shekgalagari Bible and preparations to launch the Naro New Testament in Botswana;
  • launch of the Ndau Bible in Zimbabwe, also ongoing translation of the Chidunka Old Testament, and funding for the Shona Study Bible;
