Jars of Grace
As part of our support of the annual UNICEF Appeal, jars are
to be returned today during worship, or in the next few weeks
to Margaret, please.
Sound System
Further work has been attempted to rectify recent problems,
but unfortunately that has resulted in there being no amplification
at all this week. Apologies have been and are expressed for this
frustrating situation - please bear with us! (Church Stewards
and Finance & Property Committee)
“One Circuit” Resolution - Faith Lunch
The proposed “Faith Lunch” to enable shared conversation on this important proposal, will take place after worship next Sunday. Please bring food to share (or for yourself if special requirements), drinks provided.
Copies of the current Report (8 double-sided sheets) can be made available (stock on Vestibule table currently finished but ask David today if you wish one). Also ask Synod Members for information, advice, to give feedback, share thinking.

The Preaching Plan
In the current circumstances, the printed Plan is being followed with flexibility as required. It has been agreed that any amendments, updates, and the next Plan will be circulated to appropriate people electronically. If you need or wish any information about Preaching appointments, please contact Jenny Easson, Gerald Bostock, or Heather Dean. It is hoped to display one copy of any updated Plan in Marketgait (downstairs vestry) and one on a noticeboard.

“Holiness and Risk Event” cancellation
Next weekend's planned event has had to be cancelled, as
Tulliallan Police College will no longer be available.
However, a replacement Event has been organised:
“Our Calling” - A Celebration
On Saturday in Nicolson Square, Edinburgh, to reflect on
discipleship journeys. The Event will commence round a Brunch
at 11am and conclude with a Meal at 5pm (booked in a local Italian
Restaurant). See poster for details.
It is open to all but please note that (re-)booking will be
necessary by Tuesday through Fiona Inglis in the District Office

Scottish Bible Society
Our support through the Bible-a-Month Club is invited in
October for work in Georgia (ex-USSR) and in November for
work in Brazil. Our attention is drawn this week to
- Scripture distribution and work in Iran;
- continuing work in Chile despite natural disasters, including through print and audio versions of the Romani Old Testament:
- Bible Society partnership in Argentina with the Anglican Church, among the Wichi people;
- medical and spiritual support to island communities in Brazil, through hospital boat 'Light of the Amazon';
- staff training, financial team reorganisation and work with young people by the Bolivian Bible Society.
Today is being observed as Bible Sunday in churches in the UK.
“Alive and Active” - the quarterly SBS magazine
is now available. Two (free) copies of the new autumn issue
are on the Vestibule table - please take, read, share.
