Next Sunday: 21 March 2010 : Passion Sunday
- 11 am
- Worship, including the Sacrament of Holy Communion,
conducted by the Rev David Firth; Communion Offering for the
Mission in Britain Fund.
We give the assurance of our thoughts and prayers to all who are unwell, awaiting or undergoing treatment, or anxious or grieving for the loss of loved ones.
Lent Observance
Our prayerful and active support is invited as we share
a Lenten journey of faith with fellow Christians in and
beyond Dundee:
- Dundee City Centre:
- Broughty Ferry Churches Group:
“Replacement of Property Maintenance Items”
A four-page list has been pinned up on both the Vestry
and the Office noticeboards (ie not publicly) indicating
various items used on our premises (some are “basic
but essential”- eg First Aid box, light bulbs,
toilet rolls). It is helpful if responsibility for
keeping stocks at a sensible level is shared. If you
can assist, even if in just one aspect, please sign the
list where there are still blanks. Thanks!

Support other Organisations
Scottish Churches House Prayer Network
Daily prayers are led at 9.00 - 9.15 am, with Network members particularly asked to join, if possible, on Wednesday mornings.
Prayers are particularly invited for “the increased effort needed during this year to increase use of the House, both through its Programme and in its use by other Groups and Organizations”.
Prayers are invited this week for those using the House, including the Interim Management Group meeting tomorrow evening as the governance process moves towards the formal appointment of a Board of Management.
Scottish Bible Society
Our support through the Bible-a-Month Club is invited in March for work in Jamaica. See noticeboard for more information. Our prayerful attention is drawn this week to
- development of the Bible Society in El Salvador's Bible Panorama project seeking to “bring peace in a nation affected by gang violence, murder and extortion”;
- Scripture distribution and work among 400,000 street children in Nicaragua;
- distribution of Scriptures among prisoners and young offenders in Puerto Rico, also celebration of 25 years of the Radio Bible Reading Marathon.
