CIRCUIT FAREWELL SERVICE for the REV JEAN MURRIE
5.00 pm on Saturday 28th August 2004 in the Methodist Church, Scott Street, Perth
(map of part of Perth)
Jean leaves us as a Circuit Minister at the end of August, when she retires from
the active ministry, and will become a supernumerary minister
amongst us. The occasion will also mark her ten years in the Methodist Ministry.
Jean came as a probationer minister in 1994 to the old Dundee,
Perth & Blairgowrie Circuit, with pastoral charge of the Perth and Blairgowrie
Churches. Whilst remaining Minister in these two places, she was of course
also one of the founding ministers in the new Angus, Dundee & Perthshire
Circuit.
Although some of the individual Churches in the Circuit have made their
own presentations to Jean, this will be the only opportunity for us to come together
as a Circuit family to mark Jean’s ministry amongst us all.
There will be an informal Service, followed by light refreshment, and there will be
ample opportunity for conversation with Jean. This is an Invitation to all our members and
friends, to share in this important occasion in the life of the Circuit.
CATERING
Val Sibley (Perth) makes the following specific request for contributions from Dundee
towards the catering:
- 3 savoury flans (pre-cut into 8 slices) i.e. 1 vegetarian, 2 non-vegetarian

If you can help by providing any of these, please contact Sandy (Circuit Steward)
or Jenny E (CLT member) as soon as possible. Thanks.
