Dundee Methodist Church

29 February 2004

We give the assurance of our thoughts and prayers to all who are unwell, awaiting or undergoing treatment, or anxious or grieving for the loss of loved ones.

World Day of Prayer

Everyone is invited to join with women, men and children around the world to mark the World Day of Prayer on Friday. This year’s material, prepared by Christian women of Panama on the theme “In faith, women shape the future”, helps us to share and reflect on the experience and contribution of our sisters in Panama in particular. The Service for City Centre Churches will be held at 3 pm in St Andrew’s Parish Church (near the bottom of the Wellgate) – see press notices and local posters for details of services in other communities. Jean McN is our representative on the Dundee Local Committee.

Circuit News

The Circuit Meeting on 17th March will take important decisions about the basis of our Circuit life together from September. Following the Circuit Forum in January the Circuit Leadership Team prepared a paper “A Way Forward”, as the basis of the Circuit Meeting’s discussion and decision. Please look at the leaflet (on the Vestibule table) and pass any comments to Clare or ’tricia (elected reps), Keith (Steward) or other members of the Meeting – David Firth, Sandy , David E, Jenny E.

For more information, contact David Firth, Sandy, or Jenny E (members of the Leadership Team).
