Easter Offerings Appeal
This annual Appeal is to support the work of the world-wide Church. Envelopes will be available from Palm Sunday, for return via the collection plate on or after Easter Sunday. More details on posters / from Moriamo.

Scottish Bible Society
The Bible-a-Month Club invites our support in March for work in Papua New Guinea,
the world’s most linguistically diverse country with more than 700 languages.
Bible translation into hundreds of these is still to be done, but for 100,000 Huli-speakers
in the southern highlands, the complete Bible is now available. See library area notice-board / Jean

Our attention is drawn this week to
- workers & distributors in Colombia where drug-related crime is rife
- sharing of resources, through “Celtic co-operation” with Eire and Northern Ireland
- meeting, in Bible House Edinburgh, of Scotland church representatives on Thursday
- those who introduce the Bible to others - especially mothers to children.

The parishioners of Our Lady of Good Counsel (Broughty Ferry) cordially invite us to join them
in an Ecumenical Service and Picnic, as part of the Centenary Celebrations of their church. This is also to mark the tenth anniversary
of the International Year of the Family - it is hoped that it will contribute towards the nurturing
of the spirit of fellowship between us all. The trip will cost £15 (no concessions), departure
at 2 pm from OLGC, bring your own picnic. Please let Kate G, Jenny or David know by April 4th if you
are interested. |

- the Churches’ relationship with the Scottish Parliament;
- “Extended Sunday” in Perth, today;
- training for leadership in Sudan, especially through the use of Study Guides in the Episcopal Diocese of Lainya (Feed The Minds);
- projects and partnership with Burkina Faso, the third poorest country in the world, recovering from conflict with The Ivory Coast in 2002 (Christian Aid);
- The Leprosy Mission’s International Office in its work and staff;
- Bible Society work in Papua New Guinea;
- we pray with and for the peoples of France, Portugal, and Spain (especially after the recent terrorist bombings in Madrid);
- we remember fellow Methodists in the Newbury and Hungerford Circuit (Southampton District), and all in the new Granton Local Ecumenical Partnership, including Wesley Court Methodist Home (Edinburgh & Forth Circuit).
