Dundee Methodist Church

28 March 2004

We give the assurance of our thoughts and prayers to all who are unwell, awaiting or undergoing treatment, or anxious or grieving for the loss of loved ones.

“Holy Communion” Open Meeting

Those meeting last Thursday to decide future patterns of celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Communion in Marketgait shared in a thoughtful and wide - ranging conversation, at the end of which the following were agreed :

  • once every Quarter, the invitation will be given for those who so wish to come forward to receive the bread & wine
  • copies of the Communion Services in the New Worship Book will be purchased – if you wish to buy your own personal copy or to contribute towards the cost of the Church’s supply, please see Sandy
  • different ways of emphasising various understandings of Communion to be explored from time to time.

“Quiet Room”

The downstairs back room is being prepared as a place for quiet reflection & personal prayer before worship on Sundays.
