We give the assurance of our thoughts and prayers to all who are unwell, awaiting or undergoing treatment, or anxious or grieving for the loss of loved ones.
Circuit Meeting Résumé
The Meeting
- received reports from the Circuit’s Treasurer, Leadership Team, Preachers, and ‘Mission in Britain’ & ‘World Church’ contact persons;
- accepted the audited financial statement for 2003-4 and the proposed budget for 2004-5;
- agreed initial planning for a “Circuit Prayer Workshop” in 2005;
- agreed to the Circuit Preachers’ request to encourage measures to enable mutual feedback / conversation between Preachers and congregations on ways to enrich the worship life of individuals and congregations;
- shared news of Synod, including request for help towards and at Methodist Conference 2006 in Edinburgh;
- noted current Safeguarding position and measures;
- agreed next Meeting to be on Wednesday March 17th, 2005, in Dundee at 7.30 pm.
“Come as You Are”
A 10-week series to “help people think about their faith and what it means in their
daily lives to be a follower of Jesus”. Meetings on Thursday evenings from 21st October
to 23rd December inclusive, in Marketgait, from 7.15 pm to 9.15 pm. The course explores issues
of faith and what it meansto belong to the Methodist Church in particular. Invitations are still
available from the Vestibule table – EVERYONE is asked to
consider the contents prayerfully and respond as indicated.
“Quiet Room”
The downstairs back room is prepared as a place for quiet reflection & personal prayer before worship on Sundays.

Enable Bowling Challenge. As part of their 50 year anniversary celebrations Enable is encouraging
everyone to bowl
over 50 miles as a joint effort across Scotland. Teams from the Link Club and the church wil be
participating. Each team needs to raise at least
£50 sponsorship and would be grateful for your help and support on Thursday. A sponsor form is on the table at
the top of the stairs. Attached to the sponsor form are more details about the challenge.
